RAIN RAIN GLORIOUS RAIN

For those who don't know, Texas, and most of the Southwest, has been in the midst of a pretty severe drought for the last few months.
In Houston and the surrounding area, it's been over a month since our last measurable rainfall.

Yards and plants are starting to wither and vegetables are requiring constant watering just to keep them growing.  Well yesterday,
we finally got rain.

Almost an inch at the house, not sure yet how much at the farm, but the radar images seemed to show pretty heavy rain
out there for most of the day.

Houston has a tendency to flood, often, when we get heavy rains, but at this point, I'll take whatever we can get, including a heavy downpour.  Rain is good for everything, the plants, the animals, general cleansing of the land, and lest we forget, it helps replenish the water table, something we don't see,
far below the ground we walk on.

Today is back to sunny and hot, but hopefully we'll get some more rain soon.
We need it!
